I’ve just heard that work on the railway line is to start next Monday, the 4th of October 2010. I have very little information so I can’t tell you where the work is starting. If anyone has any more information, please post a comment below. Thanks.

Tralee to Fenit Greenway 
This is very good news. It should be a great asset to the area. Looking forward to my holidays in Tralee next year.
Great news! Will be a valuable leisure amenity for both leisure cyclists and people out for a stroll when it’s finally completed
They have exposed the old tracks from Fenit to Kilfenora (can’t see from the road beyond that).

Just walked it from Horan’s Fruit and Veg on Rock Street to Bracker O’Reagan Road and it looks great so far. But surprised to find a sign warning us that a certain section of the railway was private property, to keep off, and that we were trespassing. Apparently, a farmer is claiming a length of the walkway as his own. We walked it anyway.
